How to get to Ballivicar Farm

By Bus:
A daily bus service operates from Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus Station by West Coast Motors making a connection with the ferry at Kennacraig. For schedule information, contact the Travel Centre at Buchanan Street Bus Station +44 (0)141 332 7133 www.citylink.co.uk

By Ferry:
Caledonian MacBrayne operate the two hour crossing which runs twice daily throughout the year, once on Sundays, with additional sailings during the summer season. Ferries arrive eather in Port Askaig or Port Ellen depending on the timetable and weather conditions. It's advisable to book ferries in advance, specially in the summer season. Alternatively the Islayinfo website offers a comprehensive and up-to-date ferry travel section with timetables, fares and booking information.

By Air:
FlyBe operates a 35 minute scheduled service, Monday - Saturday from Glasgow Airport to Islay, in the morning and afternoon. This is the quickest way and can provide spectacular views of the islands and Kintyre. This service is operated by Loganair. To Ballivicar Farm
From Port Ellen take the road towards Bowmore and turn left immediately before Port Ellen Maltings. After a mile or so follow the road to Kintra (right), this is sign posted. After another mile you will find Ballivicar Farm on your right, again very well sign posted.
